Dominican Artist, Jimmy Verdecia painted this acrylic on canvas painting combining realism and surrealism. The background is yellow with a dark yellowish-brown horizontal line at bottom of the canvas. There is a thick, steel blue vertical line on the left side of the scene and on the right is a much thinner vertical line of the same color. Representing the subject at hand are two sets of figures each having a red circle directly behind them. It seems that the points of view of each subject is juxtaposed here. The women at the top of the canvas is upside down. She is a young, flesh-toned nude blonde wearing a white fox pelt, posing for the viewer. The lady on the bottom of the canvas is also nude, yet upright, but she is wearing a red fox head and a human pelt. Both the lady and her human pelt are in greyscale. She is directly facing the viewer with purpose as opposed to posing. This unusual piece is called “Human Fashion”.
