Wilson Peguero was born in 1972 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. As a young boy, he loved to sketch. He later enrolled in the National School of Fine Arts where he received his bachelor’s. He went on to graduate with a Master of Visual Arts degree from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo. His techniques greatly favor working with oil, acrylic, watercolors, pastel and mixed media. Throughout his career, he has participated in over 11 national exhibitions, such as “The Collective Exhibition of Sketches” and the Arawak Gallery in Santo Domingo. When asked about what inspires him, Wilson responded with, “Nature inspires me in all its contexts; featuring the woman as a central mother figure and the dynamic nature of man and his story.”
