Pedro was born in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, on November 5, 1970. He is an Authorized Public Accountant, and graduate of the Technological University of Santiago (UTESA). He began studying the arts at an early age, embracing poetry and the theater as they pertain to social constructs.
He studied drawing at the National School of Fine Arts; painting at The School of Art of the House of the Artist; art history at The Artist’s House; and painting, design and urbanism at the ARAORUM Workshop, led by Cuban teachers Ana María Nardo and Francisco Sánchez (Guanabacoa). He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants and belongs to the Dominican Association of Visual Artists (CODAP).
From 2013 to 2017, he presented several exhibitions of his works: “Entre Dos,” Bodden Art Gallery, 2013; Collective Tribute to maestro Domingo Liz, Galleries Circuit, in support of the National Biennial of Visual Arts in the Bodden Art Gallery, 2013; Collective 2nd, National Art Competition of the Artist’s House and Ministry of Culture, Rotunda Hall National Gallery of Fine Arts, Palace of Fine Arts, Santo Domingo, 2014; “Santo Domingo in My Poetry,” Funglode Gallery, Santo Domingo, 2016; and “Santo Domingo en Concreto,” Museum of the Royal Houses, 2017. Pedro Bazil received an honorable mention with his work “The Sun Rises for All” in the second National Art Contest of the House of the Artist and Ministry of Culture in Santo Domingo, 2017.
