Born in 1987 in the Dominican Republic, Miguel Santos has always had an interest in the arts. From an early age he used to watch cartoons and sketch them in a notebook. His mother realized he had potential and enrolled him into the National school of Fine Arts where he developed his skills as a professional artist. He has worked in many arts projects throughout the Dominican Republic such as, the remodeling of the Monumento De Santiago, and the remodeling of the monument to the miners of La Romana. Miguel gathers his inspiration from instruments. He enjoys the way they are designed and the texture, which he plays with as an intense form to express his work. He likes to work with acrylic paint because it dries faster than oil which allows for multiple layers.
