Miguel Gomez was born in 1953 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. In 1982, he completed his schooling in drawing at the National School of Fine Arts. Since graduation, he has become an educator of fine arts, including the practical applications of drawing and painting. He has been a professor at The Art Center Bidó de Bonao and The Cándido Bidó Art School and Museum of Santo Domingo. From the onset of his career, he was considered one of the best watercolorists in Latin America. He has been in more than 20 individual exhibitions and over 30 collective exhibitions, both locally and internationally, including the United States of America, Japan, and Europe.
