Juan Jose Sanchez

BIO

He was born in 1961 in Rio Verde, La Vega, Dominican Republic. When he was 12 years old, he developed an appreciation for art. He attended the National School of Fine arts in Santo Domingo, where he graduated with a degree in fine arts. A self-proclaimed environmentalist, he strives to capture the nuances found in landscapes; with a particular focus on flora and fauna. He uses tonal degradation and achieves signature colors by mastering the vanishing line technique. He has participated in several group exhibitions throughout his career.
