BIO

Francisco Contin was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in 1978. He studied plastic arts at the Palace of Fine Arts/Culture Center and oil painting at The Hemphill School in Pasadena, California. Throughout his career he has been in over 4 national and 4 collective exhibitions. He uses many diverse forms of media when painting, such as oil, pastel, graphite, and sanguine. He strives to move people through the use of color, configuration and dimension. When asked about what motivates him, he said, “I’m inspired by the figurative-abstract style as it pertains to creation and color pigment; while my ideas are often a reflection space and nature.”
