Fabiano Garcia

Fabiano Garcia was born in San Víctor, Moca, Dominican Republic in 1958. He develops his talent as a plastic artist in the occupational therapy program that promotes the retirement and pensioner department of the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic. He has participated in several group exhibitions including one that took place on the 70th anniversary of Banco Central de la República Dominicana and which was held at the Palacio de las Casas Reales. In 2015 and 2017 he participated in the art and literature competition of the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic where he managed to win the 2nd place in the event of 2017. His motivation started by painting courses offered by the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic to the program of retirees or pensioners. They were occupational therapy courses for those pensioners with the aim of occupying their time in something useful. He remembers his teacher, Bottin, who encouraged him to continue painting as he saw the talent in him where he could do good work. Mr. Garcia sees art and paintings to express yourself and send messages. His technique is oil on fabric, and he uses tools such as brushes, spatulas, combs and sometimes a knife. “I can use anything that helps me achieve an effect that I want in painting.”
