Clelia is an artist in the truest form. It is an activity she enjoys thoroughly as she challenges herself to paint every day. Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and educated at the National School of Fine Arts, Clelia has always wanted to dedicate her life to art. She has been mentored by Yoryi Morel and Guillo Pérez and has contributed to over 4 national exhibitions. She does not enjoy solitude, but when painting, she said, “I transport myself to my creation and everything else around disappears.” Clelia has been greatly inspired by surrealist artists, such as Vincent Van Gogh, and is fascinated by all his works. One of her favorite tools is the spatula. It allows her to create natural elements, such as rocks and mountains with high levels of detail.
