Andrés Torres

BIO

Andres was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in 1980. He has a degree in fine art from the Plaza de la Cultura and studied under the direction of Julio Valentin and Candido Bido.

Andres is inspired by the movement and grace of the horse, focusing particularly on the Dominican Paso Fino. However, his artwork captures the beauty of all equine breeds, across all disciplines, making him the artist of choice for horse enthusiasts.

When asked about his style and technique, Andres had this to say: “I’m a surrealist at heart.  I prefer to create in oil for the depth and boldness of color, and the natural feel that this medium lends to my paintings.”
